There is a risk for flash flooding across much of west Texas and southeast New Mexico for Thursday through Friday morning. While not everyone will see rain or experience flooding, flash flooding is likely to occur in/near poor drainage, low lying, and sloped terrain where heavier and/or repeated heavy storms occur. Expect higher flood risk than Wednesday where heavy rains occur over recently saturated soils. Flood waters can be deeper than they appear. Remember to never drive through flood waters and seek higher ground if flood waters threaten.
