Damp and gloomy weather will persist across central Illinois for the next several days...before a strong cold front passes and temperatures return to near normal for this time of year in the middle to upper 30s by next Wednesday. The best chances of widespread rain will occur late tonight into Friday...then again Saturday night into Sunday. Storm total rainfall from tonight through Tuesday will generally range from 0.50 to 1.00...with a few pockets of greater than 1 inch east of the I-57 corridor.
