This afternoon into the overnight hours there is a low-to-moderate chance (30-40%) for showers and thunderstorms to form along the James River valley that will then move east. Some storms could be strong to severe producing quarter sized hail and wind gusts to 60 mph. The chance for tornadoes is low but cannot be ruled out. The rest of the week looks to be mostly sunny and warm with highs in the 80s through Friday. Saturday highs cool into the 70s to low 80s with another chance for some showers and thunderstorms.
