A backdoor front is expected to nudge into the far eastern portions of Southeast Arizona this afternoon and intensify as it spreads into the rest of Southeast Arizona overnight. The strongest winds (east to southeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph) will occur Sunday morning, especially across the Gila River and San Simon valleys closer to the Arizona and New Mexico state line. These winds may make travel difficult to high profile vehicles and localized blowing dust may reduce visibility at times.
