Click/tap image to enlarge | Numerous strong to marginally severe (threat level 1 of 5) lightning storms will push northwards, overspreading east central Florida between 2 PM and 4 PM. Prolonged periods and multiple rounds of storms are expected for many locations over the late afternoon and evening hours. The threat tapers off after 7 PM, greatly diminishing by 9 PM. Primary story hazards will be frequent to excessive lightning, locally damaging wind gusts to 60 mph, hail up to 1 inch, and locally heavy rainfall 2 to 5 inches.
