High pressure will remain in place today and Thursday producing partly cloudy skies and highs climbing into the mid 80s.
The worsening drought is elevating wildfire risk and burn bans remain in place across most of the region
Precipitation chances return Friday night into Saturday aided by the remnants of Tropical Storm Vance in the east Pacific.
Rainfall totals this weekend will range from a quarter inch to an inch. Not everyone will see rain.
