A dry continental air mass will settle across the region through Tuesday with cool and dry conditions.
A strong high-pressure system will ridge into the region from off the Mid-Atlantic coast that will bring a persistent elevated easterly flow by Wednesday.
The easterly flow will bring moisture into the region to bring chances for shower activity each day from Wednesday to the end of the week.
The easterly flow will also bring high wave heights and tides along the coast.
