A warm, tropical air mass will remain in place through Friday.
An upper level trough moving across the area will provide a focus for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and again Friday afternoon.
A cold front will push through the region Saturday night into early Sunday morning accompanied by showers and thunderstorms. A couple of these storms could become severe and also produce heavy rainfall
Cooler and drier conditions will develop behind the front through next Wednesday.
