The third Full Moon of 2025 is on March 3rd. It is known as the Worm Moon as earthworms begin to become more active in the soil. In addition to it being a Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse will occur with the moon partially eclipsing (entering the umbra) at 2:23 AM. The moon reaches totality at 4:04 AM and this will last until 5:03 AM. The partial eclipse (leaving the umbra) will end at 6:33 AM. When the moon is fully eclipsed it appears as a reddish color, which is why moons during Lunar Eclipses are also known as a “Blood Moon”
