There is a slight (level 2 of 5) risk in northwest Iowa overnight tonight into Tuesday morning (~12a-8a) for severe storms with damaging wind gusts the primary threat, though isolated instances of large hail or pockets of heavy rain are also possible. The active week will continue with additional storm chances Tuesday night and Wednesday night. Temperatures will be in the 80s north to 90s south with heat indices nearing 100 degrees in southern to portions of central Iowa. Wildfire smoke will also keep skies hazy through at least midweek.
