While thunderstorms are expected to continue over the next few hours across central Iowa, the main threat for severe weather is expected after 5pm as a line of showers and storms develops over north central to central Iowa. Hazards such as damaging winds and hail are possible, while a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out over western Iowa. Repeated thunderstorms over the same area will increase flash flooding potential, especially where several rounds of rain have already occurred.
