Thunderstorm are expected across the region Thursday night and Friday. These storms will bring the potential for heavy rainfall. Swaths of around 2 to 4 inches of rainfall are expected. Higher rainfall amounts are possible. As a result, flash flooding is possible, with the greatest risk in urban areas. Dry soils in rural areas could also become overwhelmed by the efficient rainfall rates, but the risk is lower compared to urban areas.
