Scattered severe storms still look possible for portions of Iowa this afternoon and evening! The SPC has introduced a 5% tornado risk for central and southern Iowa for the increased potential of a few weak tornadoes, but the primary risks tonight will still be gusty winds and flash flooding. That said, we are monitoring the expansive cloud cover across the area which could help to lessen the severe weather threat. Timing for storms are expected to be late this afternoon into the evening and overnight hours but should be cleared out by tomorrow morning.
