|
Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across central Iowa through the day today, tracking in from the northwest this morning. While the overall severe threat remains low at a Level 1 risk, any strong storm that develops could bring damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, hail up to an inch in diameter, and localized heavy rainfall. While rainfall totals around an inch are generally expected over western Iowa, some areas could see localized 2-3 inch amounts.
