Showers and storms are expected late overnight into Saturday morning with the highest chances across northern Iowa, where rainfall amounts generally below one inch are expected. While the severe weather risk is low, isolated strong to severe storms are possible in northwestern Iowa, with strong winds the primary threat. Storms may linger into the morning in northern and central Iowa, but clear out in the afternoon. Additionally, breezy non-thunderstorm winds are expected to develop behind the storms, with gusts reaching 30-35 mph through the afternoon.
