Gusty winds in the Shasta Valley and east of the Cascades may overlap with ongoing low daytime relative humidities (RHs) to create periods of critical fire weather concerns Friday. Daytime humidities may drop into single digits with winds gusting to 25-35 mph in parts of Siskiyou, Modoc and southeast Klamath counties. A Red Flag Warning has been issued to reflect these conditions. For other areas, the combination of low daytime RHs and elevated winds may help fires grow. Prevent sparks, don't cause fires!
