Zonal flow aloft is letting daytime highs across northern California and southern Oregon decrease day-by-day into the middle of week, when seasonable weather is expected. Dry conditions and afternoon breezes are keeping fire weather concerns elevated. Klamath, Lake, and Modoc counties are expected to see continuing smoke impacts from the Wrights Spring Fire. Slight thunderstorm chances are in the forecast for western Siskiyou County, along the Cascades, and across northern Klamath and Lake counties towards the end of the week, but these chances are trending downwards.
