High pressure building over the region is leading to anomalously warm temperatures and very dry conditions. Needless to say, with temperatures about five degrees warmer than yesterday, there will be many more records broken today across the region. Note that some areas will see gusty winds this afternoon, and stronger winds tomorrow afternoon. Warm, dry and windy conditions are the factors for critical fire weather. It’s that time of year again when fire weather risks are heightened. Be extra careful if you’ll be out in the hills and forests this weekend. Red Flag Warnings have been raised for northwestern Colorado tomorrow afternoon.
