NWS forecast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Northeast wind 10 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.
Swath of heaviest snow over 8 inches most likely from southeast North Dakota, through the southern Red River Valley, into portions of west-central, northwest, and north-central Minnesota. Heaviest snow falls tonight into Saturday morning. There is still uncertainty in how far north heavy snow will reach. This includes a general line from around Cooperstown to Grand Forks to Roseau. Some compaction and initial melting of snow is expected, leading to differences in what accumulates on grassy areas vs man-made surfaces.
