Arrival of precipitation on Thursday has trended slightly earlier, with most of northeast Minnesota experiencing scattered showers and weak storms in the early morning. A few storms on Thursday afternoon and evening may become strong to severe, especially in east-central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin. The primary severe hazard is anticipated to be large hail to 1.5" in diameter. Damaging winds to 60 mph and locally heavy rainfall are secondary hazards.
