Thunderstorms with torrential rainfall will be possible over portions of the northeast plains late this afternoon and evening. Many areas will see rain today, but the greatest risk of flash flooding will be east of the I-25 Corridor. The Watch is in effect for areas from northeastern Weld and Logan Counties southward through Eastern Elbert and Lincoln Counties. Some of the stronger storms in that area will be capable of producing 2 or more inches of rain in just 30-45 minutes. If flooding is observed or a Flash Flood Warning is issued, avoid low lying areas and never drive through a flooded road.
