Rain overspreads the region this morning and continues through the evening with rainfall amounts of 1/2" to 1" expected across much of the area. A cold front moves through the area this evening with gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph for Friday morning and afternoon, locally higher gusts will be possible with showers west of the Mississippi River. Skies clear and temperatures cool overnight on Friday into the 20s and 30s resulting in frost/freeze conditions. Temperatures then slowly warm through the week with highs returning into the 60s by Sunday.
