It must be March, because we are going to get a smorgasbord of weather over the next few days. Warm temperatures are expected today with record highs in jeopardy for some folks. Highs this afternoon will be in the 60s to mid 70s, warmest east of the Black Hills. A cold front will ooze into the area for Monday giving a wide range of high temperatures. Highs Monday will range from the 40s in far northwestern South Dakota to the lower 70s over southwestern South Dakota, including some 60s in between for northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota. Behind the cold front Monday night into Tuesday, a disturbance will bring increasing chances for precipitation, some of which will fall as snow. Accumulating snow looks quite possible for the Black Hills, but we’ll see how much is able to accumulate on the plains.
