We are monitoring the potential for rounds of thunderstorms Friday morning through Friday night. The first will arrive Friday morning through midday, with the greatest coverage expected north of I-55. These storms will be capable of gusty winds and hail in addition to lightning. After these storms exit the area to the north, there remains some uncertainty as to whether additional storms will be able to form later in the afternoon and evening. If they do, they would have the potential to be strong to severe. However, it is more likely that most areas remain dry until the cold front arrives overnight when additional storms are expected. Stay tuned to the latest forecast updates!
