Patchy Fog then Mostly Sunny
Hi 74 °F
NWS forecast: Patchy fog before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 0 to 15 mph.
A few showers or storms are possible (15-25% chance) early Wednesday morning in northwest to northern Iowa. Severe weather is not expected early day as storms will be weakening. Then, additional showers/storms develop Wednesday afternoon, lingering into early Thursday morning. Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible during the afternoon to early evening Wednesday, mainly over the north half of the state. The primary hazards for any stronger storms are hail, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall. Additional storm chances are then forecast at times from later Friday into Saturday with those chances lowering into Sunday. Anyone with outdoor plans for the July 4th holiday weekend should monitor the forecast for updates. Temperatures remain warm and in the mid 80s to low 90s through the weekend.
