We ended an already wet month with another bout of heavy rain driven by an unusual setup for late September and the remnants of Hurricane Polo. Much of southern and central IA saw heavy rain through the day on Sep. 30, with heavy rain falling across north central IA overnight into the morning of Oct 1. The most significant impacts were seen in Grundy and Black Hawk Counties, with impacts from river flooding being experienced elsewhere.
