Moderate Risk for Flooding Late Today and Tonight Forecast Rainfall through Saturday Morning Risk For Flash Flooding This Weekend Today: Hot Afternoon, Increasing Rain Chances Beachcast 5-Day Outlook
A front will bring widespread rain chances later this week into this weekend. Between Thursday afternoon/evening to Saturday morning, widespread rainfall totals of 2-4 inches are expected, but locally higher amounts of 3-6+ inches are possible. The greatest rainfall totals are expected in western counties (Zapata, Jim Hogg, Starr). Heavy rain can lead to flash flooding, especially in poor drainage, low-lying, and urban areas.
