A Wind Advisory has been issued for most of the forecast area due to westerly to southwesterly winds between 20 and 30 mph with peak gusts of 50 to 55 mph. The Advisory will be in effect for most locations starting Friday afternoon, lasting through Saturday evening. For Owens Valley and the Eastern Sierra Slopes, it will only be in effect for Friday afternoon and evening. Waves up to 3 feet high can be expected on Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, and Lake Havasu. Other hazards include blowing dust, tree damage, and hazardous crosswinds while driving.
