Dry weather is forecast for most of east central Florida overnight. However, isolated to widely scattered showers (20-50%) and lightning storms are forecast overnight into Tuesday morning. Isolated storms will be capable of wind gusts up to 30-40mph, small hail, occasional to frequent lightning, and moderate to heavy rainfall into Tuesday morning. Showers and lightning storms are forecast each day with scattered to numerous showers and scattered lightning storms forecast into each afternoon through at least Thursday. Temperatures are forecast to increase into the weekend with maximum heat index values between 96°-103° on Friday and between 98°-105° on Saturday forecast. There is a Minor to Moderate HeatRisk. A Moderate HeatRisk affects most individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without adequate hydration and/or effective cooling. There is a Moderate Risk for rip currents at the east central Florida beaches through at least Friday. Remember to always swim near a lifeguard and never enter the water alone.
