A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 10 PM Monday for portions of western, north-central, and central Nebraska.
Heat index values are expected to reach up to 101°F, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses, especially for those spending extended periods outdoors or without access to adequate cooling.
If you must be outside, stay hydrated, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning, wear lightweight clothing, and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day whenever possible.
