Chances for showers and storms return tonight beginning in northern Iowa and spreading to central and southern Iowa later Tuesday. These showers and storms will linger through Wednesday and perhaps Wednesday night as well. Lightning is possible, but the severe weather threat appears to be low at this time. The main impact will be the chance for repeated rounds of heavy rain. Most areas may not see any flash flooding impacts, but potential for water issues will be higher in urban areas.
