A strong low pressure system will bring storms, rain, and winds into the area tomorrow night through Saturday. For storms, a line of thunderstorms is expected to move towards the region in the early overnight hours, arriving in central Wisconsin around midnight. Although the severe weather threat is greater to the south and west of our area, any thunderstorms will still be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and lightning. The window for thunder will be relatively small as these storms will be fast moving, with thunder out of the area within a couple hours after arrival. Windy conditions will also surround the area outside of any precipitation, with periodic wind gusts around 25 to 35 mph both Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Again the better wind potential is to our south and west, but the some gusts may get into the 40 to 45 mph range at times Saturday afternoon. This may impact high profile vehicles and any unsecure objects.
