Hold onto your hats! 🌬️ Strong west winds are moving into western Montana and north-central Idaho this this afternoon and evening (June 16). We are looking at gusts of 40 to 50 mph. Timing for the strongest wind gusts will be from 3PM to 9PM.
Be sure to secure your patio furniture, trash cans, and any temporary structures before the wind kicks up. If you drive a high-profile vehicle like an RV, camper, or semi, be prepared for difficult crosswinds on north-south routes. Watch out for snapped tree limbs, possible isolated power outages, and choppy waters on area lakes! Stay safe out there.
