A cold front will slowly sag southward across the region today and tonight. There is a 10-30% chance of thunderstorms south of US-2 in Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few storms may be severe. The greatest risk of severe storms today is 5% generally south of a line from Detroit Lakes to Hinckley to Prentice, WI. There is a smaller risk of one or two strong to severe storms farther north up to US-2, though the risk over that area is at most 2%. Hail up to half-dollar size and wind gusts up to 60 mph are the main threats from the strongest storms.
