Shower and thunderstorm chances begin increasing ahead of an approaching storm system, mainly north of I-40 (and across higher terrain) today, expanding areawide Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy rain leading to flash flooding is the main concern with storms this week, with gusty winds also possible with the stronger storms. Stay aware!
