A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for most of the region this afternoon through mid-day Sunday. Expect to see periods of freezing rain, sleet, and snow during this timeframe. By Saturday night into early Sunday morning, the wintry mix will transition to mainly snow for areas north of the I-10 corridor. Besides the wintry precipitation, dangerous cold temperatures are certain beginning tonight lasting through the early part of next week.
