Scattered showers and non-severe thunderstorms will diminish in locations from northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota, and west toward Tyndall and Brookings, by mid evening. Later tonight, there will be a chance of some strong storms from western South Dakota moving into the Chamberlain and Huron areas. These should be on a downward trend, with perhaps some strong wind gusts, but again should be non-severe. Monday afternoon and evening, there will be a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms, mainly west of I-29. This will depend on how well temperatures can recover after a mostly cloudy morning, but if it gets warm enough, isolated storms could produce wind gusts to 65 mph, and hail up to 1.75 inch in diameter.
