Please be cautious if traveling thru far NW MO this morning as areas of dense fog could reduce visibilities to < 1/4 mile. Fog lifts by mid morning. Otherwise the warming trend continues with heat index values reaching 100-105 degrees for many, especially along and south of the MO River.
Above normal temperatures continue through the end of the week before a substantial cooldown next week. Of course, this swing in temperatures is accompanied by more chances for showers and storms mainly Saturday night through Sunday.
